OCT Art and Design Gallery 华•美术馆

The OCT Art and Design Gallery is known as China's first gallery dedicated to pioneering design.

Officially launched on Sept. 1, 2008, the gallery was conceived by the OCT Group to promote vanguard design and interdisciplinary innovation. It is part of a prestigious "Art Triangle" in the Overseas Chinese Town area, alongside the He Xiangning Art Museum and the OCT Contemporary Art Terminal (OCAT).

Converted from a former warehouse, its exterior is now a modern, glass-encased steel structure. The facade is defined by a hexagonal design motif of glass curtain walls arranged in a honeycomb-like pattern.

Spanning over 3,000 square meters, the gallery hosts a diverse range of changing exhibitions. These frequently feature works by Chinese and international designers and cover fields like graphic, spatial, product, and fashion design, as well as digital images and animation. He Xiangning Art Museum 何香凝美术馆

The He Xiangning Art Museum is dedicated to the life and work of He Xiangning (1878-1972), a renowned artist and social activist. It was established in 1995 and officially opened to the public on April 18, 1997.

The museum's architecture is a harmonious blend of modern and traditional Chinese styles. Its design combines a contemporary aesthetic with elements of a traditional Chinese courtyard. The main body uses elegant gray and white tones, creating a simple, solemn, and refined atmosphere. A notable feature is the courtyard-style atrium before the main exhibition hall.

Spanning over 5,000 square meters, the museum focuses on collecting, displaying, and researching He Xiangning's artworks.

Beyond its permanent collection, the museum is also a vibrant hub for contemporary art. It regularly hosts thematic exhibitions, with a particular focus on women artists, overseas Chinese art, and modern and contemporary Chinese art.

Its headquarters and main venue are located in Shenzhen's OCT-LOFT Creative Culture Park.

The Shenzhen venue is housed in a series of renovated industrial buildings, including former furniture and magnetic disk factories, giving the space a unique, raw character.
